During the Northern Song Dynasty, Jiaozi, the world’s first paper money, was born in Chengdu, ushering in a new era in the history of currency and manifesting the boldness of Chengdu people to take the lead. 

北宋时期，世界上第一张纸币交子诞生于成都，开启了人类货币史的新纪元，交子的诞生，彰显了成都人民“敢为天下先”的魄力。

Jiaozi Financial Museum with a total area of 4,226㎡ is located within Jiaozi Park. It is China’s first financial museum under the theme of Jiaozi, which was jointly established by Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Holding Group Co. Ltd.,Chengdu branch of the People's Bank of China,Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. 

交子金融博物馆坐落于交子公园内，总面积4226平方米。交子金融博物馆是成都交子金融控股集团联合中国人民银行成都分行、西南财经大学共同建设的全国首家以“交子”为主题的金融行业博物馆。

Jiaozi Financial Museum aims to explore the history and culture of Jiaozi, the first paper money, trace its life course, explore its operating mechanism, and reveal its influence and inheritance, so as to forge a cultural landmark for Chengdu to build a financial center in western China.
